Exams Are Done — Results Are on the Way
This year’s Grade 12 examinations were successfully held from 14 Baisakh to 27 Baisakh 2083 BS (April 27 – May 10, 2026). A total of 4,18,800 students — including 3,32,178 regular and 85,830 partial examinees — appeared across 1,421 exam centers nationwide.
NEB has been working at an accelerated pace to complete the answer sheet evaluation process. According to recent updates, more than 80% of the evaluation work has already been completed. This year, the board is targeting to publish the results significantly faster than in previous years, avoiding the long wait times students historically faced.
When Will the NEB Class 12 Result 2083 Be Published?
As per NEB’s internal targets, the NEB result 2083 date is expected to be around 10 Asar 2083 BS (June 24, 2026 AD). This means the official announcement could come any day now.

How to Check Your NEB Class 12 Result Online and Offline
Once the result is published, high traffic usually causes official websites to slow down or crash temporarily. Fortunately, you will be able to check your result through multiple methods instantly:
- Online Websites: Enter your symbol number and date of birth on the official NEB or NTC portals to view your result along with your full Class 12 marksheet.
- Via SMS: Send a text message formatted as

Understanding Your Marksheet: The NEB Grading System
When you download your marksheet, you will notice that NEB no longer uses total percentages. Instead of showing a total percentage, NEB shows you a grade for each subject and a final GPA calculated by averaging all your subject grade points.
The highest possible GPA is 4.0. NEB uses an 8-band grading system. The grade point values go down by exactly 0.4 from one band to the next: 4.0, 3.6, 3.2, 2.8, 2.4, 2.0, 1.6.
- Outstanding (A+): 90 to 100 marks.
- Excellent (A): 80 to 89 marks.
- Lowest Passing Grade (D): Students must score at least 35 marks to avoid NG. This awards a 1.6 GPA.
- Not Graded (NG): NG means marks below 35 in theory. NG means the subject was not cleared. The NG grade point is 0.0.
If you receive an “NG” in any subject, do not panic. Students who receive an NG in one or two subjects can easily appear for the supplementary Grade Increment Exams a few months later.
